Trail Riding
At Windsong Ranch our trails are a beautiful mix of hardwood & softwood bush,
hills, streams, fields and quiet road with stunning views of the Queens Valley which runs from Chatsworth to Meaford, hundreds of acres to explore!
2 hour horse experience $100 per person
3 hours $140 per person (12 yrs +)

All Reservations to be secured with a 50% deposit by e-transfer
Cash or E-mail transfer only, before mounting (no debit/credit cards)
A signed Release of Liability Waiver, Helmet & Proper footwear also required, we provide
helmets and have some boots available to borrow
We determine which horse you will ride when you arrive, then groom & tack up and Pre - ride instruction in our indoor arena included before riding out, then an hour on the trail…so expect to be here for up to 2 hours or more depending on how many are in your group. We hope you enjoy and have a memorable ride!
Rides are available Friday, Saturday, Sundays from May to October by appointment only
Maximum of 5 trail riders on a ride - small groups are great so everyone can enjoy
Ages 7+ to adults of all ages can ride, we do have a weight restiriction of 250 lbs max
Cancellation Policy - Reservations are to be secured by e-transfer - 50% deposit
Reservations cancelled up to 48 hrs in advance - $5.00 admin fee.
Reservations cancelled or 'no shows' 2 days or less before the ride - 50% deposit non-refundable.
Last-minute cancellations due to rain/thunderstorms - Re-schedule or $5.00 admin fee for refund
Proper footwear - hard soled shoe or boot with a heel sufficient to prevent your foot from sliding through the stirrups.
The trail pace is set to the level of the least experienced rider, walking the entire ride if need be, more experienced riders may jog & lope where permitted, not everyone is at the same level, we go to the least experienced riders level pace. Safety 1st!
You are in control of the horse you are riding and it will go where you ask it to, if you do not take control, it will choose its own way(generally to grass). Remember, horses are flight animals, meaning if startled, they can run first, ask questions later! Always pay attention to your surroundings on a horse! Deer, turkeys and other wildlife are seen on our trail rides often so keep an eye open!
