We Welcome horse enthusiast’s of all ages to come and experience our Ranch! Enjoy Rolling hills and beautiful winding forest trails through the Queens Valley, with many acres to see and explore on our trail trained & experienced horses or yours!
We offer Horseback Trail Riding, horse leasing, horse handling and confidence building, western lessons, driving lessons, horse boarding and much more!
A family business, owned and operated by Gord & Heather Sturm, with sons Wyatt & Coulton. Heather has been involved with horses all her life. Gord started with horses at 20, and is a natural horseman. Gord is teaching clients & students to handle horses from the ground on through to understanding horses and why they do the things they do, body language, and helping to improve their riding or horse handling through experience.
Windsong Horse & Carriage began in 2004. Providing Horse & Carriage services to many events including the Festival of Northern Lights in Owen Sound, Parades, Weddings, Funerals, Corporate events, Movies, TV & Photo shoots, Family celebrations, Romantic memory & gourmet meal services and much more, all throughout Ontario.
In 2010 our barn/arena was created and designed by us, with much consideration, it seemed natural to grow
the family business by expanding the Ranch; the home of Windsong Horse
& Carriage. The old bank barn outgrown, improved facilities were in
order for the Horseback trail riding, carriage services and sharing a facility with people of all ages who are passionate about horses! Offering lessons for beginners to horses, up to experienced riders; helping you work & motivate your own horse effectively, learning all about horses from the ground up!
Gord & Heather's love for horses has led to mentoring 1st timers, beginners to experienced horse lovers, to discover what horses really have to offer. Maybe a chance to go 'back' to riding or horse handling without the responsibility & financial commitment of complete ownership, and searching for the 'right' horse. This is where ‘all-inclusive’ horse leasing began for Windsong Ranch. A non-competitive Ranch for people who enjoy horses! Easy going atmosphere to discover the natural beauty of a horse-human relationship, while enjoying nature and experienced guidance.
We do train our own horses and occasionally take in some for training as well! If you are trying to train your horse but would like a little help or guidance…come check us out!
